Spring is such a wonderful time in the Highlands of Scotland but on The Isle of Skye it’s even more magical. Watching the landscape come alive after the wild winter weather is such a joy and is welcomed by all without exception. A spring break on Skye is a great way to enjoy Scotland.
Duisdale Hotel is located in the area known as “the Garden of Skye” and here you can expect to see the re-emergence of the wonderful flora and the tentative exploration of the island wildlife following winter hibernation. Birdsong fills the air and blossoms bloom creating a celebration of life just waiting to be discovered.
In the kitchen the spring seasonal delights include freshly landed seafood, the first organic leaves of the season – grown in the gardens – new spring greens, all of which are reflected on our lighter menus as the days become longer.
Spring also sees the start of our sailing season on Solus na Mara (weather depending).
