Sailing breaks around Skye on “Solus na Mara” is an activity offered by the owners, Ken and Anne, exclusively to their guests. Whether resident at Duisdale or Toravaig, guests can enjoy this daily sailing break into the Sound of Sleat and out to the small islands of Rhum and Eigg or into Loch Nevis or Loch Hourn on the mainland.
The day’s sailing around Skye starts around 10.30 am. The direction of wind usually indicates the route for the day which will be filled with much laughter and joy whilst in search of sightings of whales, dolphins, basking sharks, seals and seabirds. A freshly prepared lunch is served on board together with light refreshments. Costs are £125 per person. The hotel yacht can also be charted privately from £600 per day.
This is the most enjoyable of experiences and therefore advisable to register your interest at the time of booking as there are only six guest spaces per day.
